Ages 12 months through 29 months of age.
Welcome to the Acorn Classroom!
What an exciting time of your children and family's life! The land of the firsts and explorative play! At Ven Ensemble we share equal enthusiasm for your child's growth and development through celebration of all feats.
In our Acorn class we provide numerous engaging activities and purposeful play crafted for younger minds and smaller creative hands. This class is specialized for our younger creatives, beginning 12 months old up to 29 months of age.
Ven Ensemble's curriculum follows the footsteps of Reggio Emilia's Hundred Language philosophy. Paired with our own educational methodology we've created something really special for our greater Seattle area families.
Our practices start at a very young age. We facilitate process-focussed art, music, free play, culture and environmental awareness experiences through a hands-on immersive style program. Each activity is an interpretation of this experience and your child's expression of understanding as well as interests. Rather than a representation of a physical object or strictly directed project.
We love to enrich all our students experiences with a taste of home. We ask all our families to fill out a 'Me and My Family' survey to collect basic information on culture and tradition from each child's home life. Additionally we also request our families to fill out a "My Roots" form for similar purposes. We then deploy themes from our shared or independent family traditions and cultures throughout your child's experience at Ven Ensemble. This portion of our program helps enrich your child's education, while bringing them closer to their roots and traditions even when they are not as close to home. It further brings a sense of comfortability in a sometimes overwhelmingly new environment for all our first time students. Ven Ensemble believes that all these wonderfully unique cultural traditions and differences are something to be shared, celebrated and ultimately unite our community.
At this age it is fundamental for the growth of your child's brain to be showered in intriguing and engaging conduits of free play, music, arts, culture and environmental awareness. Shared experiences with trusted adults are essential in creating a deep and lasting compassion for our planet, additionally its creatures. We foster a basis of environmental exploration for our youngest creatives to explore their surrounding environment through tactile, visual observatory and sensory activities. Your child will be able to learn about the basics of nature by experiencing group nature walks around our facility, neighboring parks and trails.
Free play and creative play is a big part of our day. It teaches coordination, communication, recall memory, muscle memory, social skills, and emotional cognition. We place a heavy emphasis on this portion of our curriculum for this age group because it is truly an unspoken instructor of your child's educational journey.
At Ven Ensemble we believe there is no rushing the educational process as all our students are on their own unique learning journey. Our educators will be there every step of the way to help support and facilitate all our students learning and development towards Ven Ensemble's preschool readiness. We use in-class developmental assessments to accurately gauge when your child is ready to move onto the next level of learning. Some children will be ready at 26 months of age and others before that time frame. Ven Ensemble AES warmly welcomes all levels of development and prior learning. Your child sets the pace and we work with them on their time.
From first steps to their first art creations our classroom photojournalist brings your child's unique celebration of life and learning back home to you. Once enrolled each child will receive an educational google doc folder with easy access on your mobile device. Multiple photos and or videos will be uploaded daily to keep you close to your child's journey at Ven Ensemble AES. Throughout their time at Ven Ensemble, your child will compose a portfolio of their most prideful work to share as a demonstration of their journey of learning in each class.

Seedling Class
Ages 30 months through 47 months of age
Welcome to The Seedlings Preschool Classroom!
What a journey it has been so far! Ven Ensemble welcomes your young individual into our unparalleled preschool program! Our preschool program is specially designed for ages 30 months through 47 months of age. Our staff is beyond thrilled to take part in the learning of such young talented creatives.
Ven Ensemble curriculum follows the footsteps of Reggio Emilia's Hundred Language philosophy. Paired with our own educational methodology we've created something really special for our greater Seattle area families.
All families after enrolling are asked to fill out a 'Me and My Family' and 'My Roots' form. Ven Ensemble does this to collect basic information on culture and tradition from each child's home life. This information is then established in a variety of cultural themes throughout your child's experience at Ven Ensemble. This portion of our program helps enrich the cultures of our families within the context of our schools community. Additionally, helping our families preserve their strong upbringing, celebration of tradition, and helping our students learn of other cultures, while honoring their own. Whether it be special holiday gatherings or a nutritional staple in your household, we'd love to hear about your unique family's lifestyle. Ven Ensemble believes that all wonderfully unique cultural traditions and differences are something to be shared, celebrated and ultimately unite our community.
In this class we begin to step into the academic waters and together we plan fun activities to learn basic educational standards. Each day your child will experience self-guided activities and projects that will support their learning in language, arts, math concepts, science, social studies, art studio, physical locomotor/non-locomotory
skills, hiking, specialty such as yoga, dancing, rhythm, and music studio.Alike our toddler program, each student in our Seedlings classroom will be assigned their own personal educational google docs folder. In which our onsite photojournalist will upload your child's educational journey daily. Multiple photos and/or videos will be shared every day to bring home your child's celebration of learning and life. Throughout their time at Ven Ensemble, your child will compose a portfolio of their most prideful work to share as a demonstration of their journey of learning in each class.
Once your child reaches preschool age our students dive into a deeper learning of environmental studies and outdoor exploration. Ven Ensemble facilitates this learning through starter level gardening, learning basic environmental processes, fun environmental science experiments and much more. Additionally we house waste education, meaning each child is taught how to properly dispose of garbage, food and recycled materials. As well as the processes behind the scenes of said subcategories of waste management.

Sprouts Class
Ages 4 to 6 years of age
Welcome to The Sprouts Classroom!
The journey continues! In our Sprouts Pre-Kindergarten Classroom our curriculum helps all our students bud into passionate enthusiastic learners who are truly in tune with their creative side. This class room is composed of ages four through six. Sprouts Class encompasses a more educational approach to our learning than our toddler and preschool classrooms as your children grow closer to their journey to elementary school.
We ask all our families to fill out a 'Me and My Family' and 'My Roots' form to collect basic information on culture and tradition from each child's home life. We then incorporate themes from corresponding cultural traditions throughout each unique classroom to help promote each child's sense of self and learning of family heritage. This portion of our program helps enrich the cultures of our families within the context of our schools community. Additionally, helping our families preserve their strong upbringing, celebration of tradition, and helping our students learn of other cultures, while honoring their own. We are proud to take part, nurturing the importance in an early sense of self, wellbeing and belonging in your child. Ven Ensemble believes that all these wonderfully diverse cultural traditions and differences are something to be shared and celebrated to ultimately unite our community.
Ven Ensemble places a heavy emphasis on preparation for each child's elementary school readiness through artistic creative ways of learning and those ever-helpful interpersonal skills. Exploring and practicing fundamentals in language, arts, reading, writing, math, sciences, physical education and social studies. Again all children develop at different rates and all starting points are welcome in our program. Each child is met at their individual learning needs. Ven Ensemble cherishes and celebrates a intrinsically motivated environment where all self progress and growth is the key to success.
Alongside the more academic aspects of the Sprouts curriculum, your child will learn a more thorough education on various musical elements, including basic music theory. Your child will also learn to perform music as a group with other classmates. Each child receives more one on one musical instruction once they reach our Sprouts Classroom. In all, this helps promote further harmony and communication of both sides of your child's brain. Ultimately promoting growth of fine motor skills, memory, and many other categories of learning. Further, helping teach teamwork, while developing critical listening and comprehension skills.
As your child begins to think more critically in this age our instructors concurrently begin to practice purposeful art creation. We encourage our students to create art that is semi to fully pre-conceived in concept. This helps teach children about basic processes of creation and thinking which are fundamental for all ages and aspects of life. Throughout their time at Ven Ensemble, your child will compose a portfolio of their most prideful work to share as a demonstration of their journey of learning in each class.
In the Spouts class we explore more in depth environmental processes, fun and thought provoking scientific experiments, learning about growth cycles of plants and animals, gardening, curiosity lead research and much more. We further offer extensive outdoor play to our older ages to meet their physical exercise requirements to keep focused and healthy children. This is truly a special time for children this age because their individual interests and natural inclinations really begin to take center stage in their own education. Through gentile scaffolding of our instructors, each child is encouraged to ask questions that stem their own educational journey. Helping naturally spawn critical thinkers and thoughtful young minds.
